CM set to visit Sambalpur Friday

Sambalpur, Feb 26: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik will attend a number of programmes to lay the foundation stone of some projects and inaugurate a slew of others during his one-day visit to the district Friday.
As per schedule, the CM will land at Basantapur helipad here at 10.45 am after leaving Bhubaneswar in the morning. After landing here, he is scheduled to lay the foundation stone of the proposed second Sainik School of the state here.
After laying the foundation stone of the Sainik School, he would fly to MCL to inaugurate a sports complex at Jagruti Vihar and a building of Rural Self-employment Training Institute. The CM will also attend a programme to lay the foundation stone of a Kalyan Mandap there.
Later, Patnaik will inaugurate a sickle cell building on the premises of VSS Medical College and Hospital, Burla. After attending the programme, he is scheduled to go to Padhanpali to lay the foundation stone of a water purifying project.
Thereafter, the CM will go to Majhipali Homeopathy College by road from Padhanpali and inaugurate a hospital building of the homeopathy college. After attending the programme, the CM is likely to address a convention at Ainthapali PHED ground on the occasion of Construction Workers’ Service Day. The CM will inaugurate the main gate of Gangadhar Meher (Autonomous) College during a programme. He will also inaugurate a makeshift building of the proposed Open University on the premises of the college.
Later, the CM will lay the foundation stone of three roads and a bridge at Jail Square. After attending the programme, he will fly towards Kudgunderpur from Government Women’s College helipad at 2.35 pm.
After landing at Kudgunderpur, Naveen will lay the foundation stone of a bridge over river Mahanadi.
