Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi Thursday strongly criticised Congress leader Rahul Gandhi for allegedly making derogatory remarks against Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his late mother during a rally in Bihar. Calling the remarks ‘extremely unfortunate’, Majhi said they reflect “the deplorable mentality of Rahul Gandhi and his allies,” adding that such language exposes “the vile thinking prevalent within the Congress and its leadership.” “The use of such offensive language against a woman revered as a goddess, who gave the nation a distinguished son, demonstrates the frustration and inferiority complex of Rahul Gandhi’s Congress and its allied parties, which have been in power and its orbit for 60-70 years,” Majhi said. Asserting that the people of the country will not tolerate such behaviour, Majhi warned that citizens will give a “fitting response” to the Congress and its allies for their conduct.
