Baleshwar: A minor college student was allegedly raped by her boyfriend and his friends in Odisha’s Baleshwar district, police said Thursday.
The incident took place Wednesday when she went out with her boyfriend. She was taken to a secluded place where her boyfriend’s friends were already there.
The girl alleged that after she was sexually assaulted by her boyfriend and his friends in a lonely place, they left her at Talanagar near NH 16 at night and fled from the spot. She was rescued by a police patrolling team.
The girl was later handed over to her uncle after medical examination, the police said.
Based on the victim’s complaint, police have lodged a case under POSCO and started an investigation into the complaint.
A police officer said three special teams have started a search to nab culprits.
