Dhusuri: A 42-year-old bus conductor died after he fell from a moving bus and came under its rear wheel at Telipatana Square near Betaligaan on State Highway 35 between Bhadrak and Aradi Monday morning.
The deceased was identified as Prabhat Mallik of Balibili village near Dolasahi under Tihidi police limits.
According to police, Malik worked as the conductor of the Amanat bus (OD-19-L-2388), which was travelling from Aradi to Bhadrak.
At about 10:55am, he fell from the moving bus near Telipatana Square for an unknown reason.
The rear wheel of the bus ran over his head, killing him on the spot.
On being informed, personnel from Dhusuri police station reached the scene and launched an investigation.
Police registered a case (373/26) and sent Mallik’s body to Bhadrak District Headquarters Hospital for a post-mortem.
