Cuttack, Sept 30: OCA will start selling tickets from the counters at the Barabati Stadium, Thursday for the India-South Africa T20 match at Cuttack, October 5. Seven thousand online tickets have already been sold. The remaining 13,000 tickets meant for the general spectators will be available from in counter numbers one, two and three Thursday and Saturday starting at 9 am.
A person can buy only one ticket. Orissa Cricket Association (OCA) has taken all the measures to maintain discipline, while the tickets are sold. All the three counters are protected and are under the surveillance of CCTV cameras.
Corporate box, AC box gallery-2, corporate gallery and special enclosure tickets will be available in counter No. 1 near the horse gate. Tickets for gallery numbers 1, 2, 3 and 4 will be sold from counter No. 2 while from counter No. 3 tickets for gallery No. 6 and 7 will be sold. “It is expected that there will be a huge demand for the tickets. It is evident from online ticket sells,” OCA stated Wednesday.
Meanwhile those who have booked their tickets online can collect their hard copies from the Cambridge School near the stadium from Thursday. The tickets will be available till October 5.
Security arrangements on the day of the match were also discussed in detail as top officials of the Police Commissionerate visited the stadium. DCP Cuttack Sanjeev Arora and twin cities commissioner Dr RP Sharma inspected various parts of the Barabati to finalise the security measures.
