CRM team to visit Mayurbhanj; no leave for health officials

Baripada: The Common Review Mission (CRM) team formed by the Union Health Ministry to monitor health scenario will come to Odisha. The delegation is slated to visit Mayurbhanj and Kandhamal district too. The mission is likely to visit Mayurbhanj between October 16 and 23.

Meanwhile, the health department in the district has gone into an overdrive to set things right before the visit of the high-profile team.

The department has cancelled the leave of officials and employees until the visit ends. This was ordered by the chief district medical officer in a letter- 4344.

The Common Review Mission team comprises Dr BK Swain, Dr RR Sathpathy, Manas Khara, Santosh Nayak, Dillip Das, Swarup Das, Sanjib Sutar, and Mrutyunjay Rath.

The team will visit the district headquarters hospital, sub-divisional hospitals, community health centres and primary health centres.

They will make a review of various programmes, projects being implemented under the National Health Mission, apart from taking stock of the existing health infrastructures.

All the heath officials have been busy to streamline the healthcare system in the district.

Besides, a high level committee of the state government will pay visit to the district headquarters hospital and Pandit Raghunath Murmu Medical College and Hospital.

Collector Vineet Bhardwaj has cancelled the leave of all doctors, paramedical staff, employees of the National Health Mission and asked them to stay at the district headquarters.
