Bhubaneswar: The local Child Welfare Committee (CWC) Wednesday issued a notice to owner of Pal Heights hotel Satpal Singh asking him to depose before it Thursday in connection with the death of a minor domestic help in a fire mishap at his residence earlier this month.
However, Singh has sought time till Tuesday for appearance, sources said.
It may be recalled that a fire, claiming five lives, had broken out at Singh’s residence at Buddheswari Colony here August 3.
Tanu Das (12) alias Khusi, working as a domestic help at Satpal’s residence, died due to asphyxiation in the incident.
