Bhubaneswar: A cyclonic circulation over Bay of Bengal is likely to trigger heavy rainfall in several districts of Odisha during the next 24 hours, the Regional Meteorological Centre predicted Tuesday.

“The cyclonic circulation over north coastal Odisha and neighbourhood now lies over northwest Bay of Bengal off Odisha-West Bengal coasts,” a bulletin of the Meteorological Centre said.

Under its impact, heavy rainfall likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Keonjhar, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Khordha, Puri, Ganjam and Nayagarh during the next 24 hours, it forecasted.

Fishermen have been advised not to venture into the sea.
