Berhampur: Acting on a tip-off, Gosaninuagaon police Monday arrested six dacoits including two minors while they were hatching a loot plan near Haladiapadar over-bridge on National Highway-16 here in Ganjam district Sunday night.
The police also seized two live bombs, swords, liquor bottles and three iron rods from their possession. The arrested youths have been identified as P Venkatesh, G Srihari, D Akash and Sunil Bisoyi.
Police said the six dacoits were preparing the blueprint for a loot in the area. A team led by IIC Kulamani Sethy cordoned the area and arrested them. The accused tried to flee after hurling bombs, but were overpowered by the police.
A case was registered and the four were produced in court while two minor boys were produced before the child protection officer, IIC Sethy said.
