Sundargarh: Sundargarh police arrested eight members of a notorious dacoit gang here Saturday on charges of looting in several areas of the district.
The cops also seized arms including two guns, six bullets, sword, dagger and three bikes, mobile phones and a tablet during raid at various places.
The accused were identified as Samir Nayak, Rabi Miri, Prakash Jaypuria, Ram Rohidas, Subham Nag, Subrat Sekhar Deo, Benudhar Nath and Chandan Verma.
Police source said that the arrested dacoits are involved in several criminal cases.
The 12-member dacoit gang was busted following arrest of its four members while they were planning for a dacoity under Sundargarh police limits Friday.
