Damodar Rout might land in STF net

Paradip: Expelled BJD legislator Damodar Rout might land in the net of Crime Branch’s  Special Task Force (STF), reports said.

STF efforts are on to find out where Rout, a seven-time MLA and a minister, had gone wrong and what mistakes he had committed during his tenure. A senior STF official also confirmed about the move.

One week ago STF investigated Rout’s role in connection with Gangster Tito.

During his tenure as MSME minister in 2014, Rout posted an additional director February 22. The office ran for three years from the house owned by Rout’s family at Madhuban Housing Board. However, the office, which started to attract entrepreneurs, failed in its objectives.

The same office was shifted to Choudwar March 31, 2017. The money dealings during the period is under investigation, sources said.
