DAV’s Rohit Kumar Jena tops zone in JEE advanced-2015

post news network, Bhubaneswar, June 18: Rohit Kumar Jena, a student of the DAV Public School at Unit-VIII came out with flying colours, as he topped the zone in the Joint Entrance Exam (advanced) 2015, the results of which were published recently.

Jena got all India rank (AIR) 57 and brought glory to his school and the state for being the zone topper in the IIT Kharagpur region, comprising the states of Orissa, Sikkim, Jharkhand and West Bengal. Abhisek Panda, another student of the school, secured the 154 rank (all India) to become the state topper, said an official of the school.

“It is really a great achievement for me. It was very tough to be a zone topper. I believe my hard work has brought me this success. I am thankful to all my teachers and the principal madam. I suggest all students should work hard and never give up,” said Rohit.

State topper Panda thanked his parents and teachers for his success.

Manish Kumar Bera (AIR 416), Spandan Sahu (AIR 421), and Abinash Senapati (AIR 695) were some of the other successful students from the school to secure position in the first-thousand-rank list. In all, 25 students of the school cleared the JEE Advanced (2015), securing good positions in the state.

The chairman of school managing committee, Madan Mohan Panda, the principal Bhagyabati Nayak and the teachers of the school congratulated the students on their grand success.

“Students had been toiling hard from the beginning and consequently they got great success. These  students not only brought glory to their parents, but also to the school. They have become an example for their juniors,” said Gapabandhu Lenka, a teacher of the school.
