DDCE assistant under vigilance scanner in Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: Vigilance sleuths Saturday carried out simultaneous raids on the properties of senior assistant of Directorate of Distance and Continuing Education (DDCE), Ashok Kumar Mishra.

The raids were conducted on charges of accumulating assets disproportionate to his known sources of income.

At the time of filing this report, simultaneous raids were underway at his double storied residential building at Mancheswar, a double storied building at Prashanti Vihar, Patia, , official quarter at Vani Vihar campus, office room at DDCE, Bhubaneswar and his native house at Durgapur village in Cuttack district.

The searches were conducted by officers from Vigilance Department, Bhubaneswar Division. They raided on the strength of search warrants issued by the Honourable Special Judge Vigilance, Bhubaneswar.

During the search, the officers also detected that Mishra also owns another double storied building at Kalinga Nagar, Bhubaneswar.

The sleuths also recovered cash amounting to Rs 3,55,000.

The exact value of Mishra’s moveable and immovable assets is yet to be ascertained as raids are underway.
