Bhubaneswar: East Coast Railway (ECoR) Saturday suspended the cleaning supervisor of Konark Express which departed from Bhubaneswar Friday. The decision was taken as a sitting judge of the Orissa High Court terminated his journey after complaining of poor hygiene in the said train. Justice Biswanath Rath was travelling to Visakhapatnam but detrained at Berhampur and put down his complaint in the railway register, stating that there was a dead rodent in the bogie. Top officials informed Orissa POST that the railway has taken the issue seriously and disciplinary action will be taken against the supervisor. “ECoR taken a serious note of the incident and has taken steps accordingly. The chief mechanical engineer of ECoR also inspected the coaching depot at Bhubaneswar,” top official of ECoR said.
