New Delhi: National capital witnessed a rainy morning Tuesday while Delhiites got a sigh of relief with air quality improving to moderate as index value witnessed a dip due to the rain and wind Monday night.
However, as rain lashed the city in the morning hours there were traffic snarls at important junctions of the city that suffered water logging.
The minimum temperature settled at 12.5 degrees C Tuesday, five points above normal for the season, the weatherman said.
The sky will remain generally cloudy during the day and moderate rain is likely occur towards evening, as per Met office.
The air quality improved with improvement in the lateral air flow with the wind and rain Monday night.
Maximum temperature is likely to hover around 19 degrees C Tuesday while the temperature will witness a dip towards evening.
Rainfall recorded in the past 24 hours upto 0830 hours in the morning was 14.8 mm, as per weather office.
