post news network, Bhubaneswar, July 12: Leading Oriya daily Dharitri Sunday felicitated around 62 children for their performances in the weekly Dharitri quiz competitions, which appear in the sports and children’s pages of the newspaper.
The awards were given by the Dharitri and Orissa POST editor Tathagata Satpathy and Chief Executive of the newspapers, Adyasha Satpathy. A senior journalist of the Oriya daily, Virbhadra Biswal, coordinated the event.
Dharitri every week asks its readers some questions pertaining to diverse subjects to engage with them.
The readers respond either through e-mail or snail mail. Every week six winners are chosen from the sports and the children’s sections. The winners for the month of May and June were given the awards Sunday, on the premises of the Press Club of Orissa.
