Bhubaneswar: Star state cueist Subrat Das won both of his matches of the VIIth MIET All Orissa Open Snooker Championships at the Vintage Club here, Thursday.
Subrat outplayed Muna Parida 3-0 in his first match before defeating Harsh Lamba 3-1. Among other notable winners, Rakesh Pradhan beat Rohit Sharma 3-0 while Rakesh Mohanty trounced Subhrajit Patnaik 3-0.
However, it was a bad day in the office for Govind Sharma who suffered a 1-3 loss to Mishal Swain. Akash Mahapatra who struck a break of 73 – the day’s highest – defeated Gyana Dash 3-0.
