“My latest film is a romantic thriller which is full of action and emotions backed by strong music”, said S Dilip Panda, director of the upcoming film Tu Mo Hero, which casts Jyoti and Jhilik in the lead roles. The pair has been cast together for the first time in this film.
“The hero is a stylish lad from the ‘basti’ who loves spending time at his ‘khatti’ with friends. His aura makes the heroine fall in love with him,” said the director. Tu Mo Hero is Panda’s 17th directorial project.
“Shooting of the film will begin from June 12 in Manali and the film is expected to release in August,” Panda added.
Rajani Ranjan, dialogue writer of the film, said, “The story is based on the hero and it is targeted at all types of viewers. The drama bit has been given emphasis, while music is the backbone of the plot. The dialogues seem very normal, like in day-to-day life.”
“I am tracking Oriya films for the last three years. Six months back I met director Dilip Panda. I liked the story. I have seen his films including Tiger. I will continue producing Oriya films one after the another,” said producer Srinivas Rao Chamarthy from Andhra Pradesh, who owns a big photo studio.
“There are six tracks in the film — a romantic song, a lori, a dance number, two other tracks introducing the hero and heroine and the title track,” intimated music director Baidyanath Dash.
“Shooting of the film will take place in Manali, Chandigarh and different places in Orissa. The songs will be shot first,” said Pranay Jethy, media planner for the film.
Tu Mo Hero casts Mihir Das, Priyanka Patnaik, Daitari Panda, Jaya Goswami, Mantu, Jeevan Panda and Guddu. The choreography is being handled by Prem Gopi and the camera work is by SH Prasad. To be made under the banner of Udaya Movies, the film’s mahurat was recently held in Bhubaneswar.
