ED attaches Seashore’s ponzi properties

Bhubaneswar: Enforcement Directorate (ED) has attached Seashore Group’s land and buildings worth `9 crore and bank balance of `60.57 lakh under the provisions of Money Laundering Act, 2002.
ED officials said the attached immovable properties include land measuring 2.670 decimal to M/S Jambu and Co, which earlier belonged to Konark TV Ltd.
“The land in Mancheswar Industrial Estate was acquired out of the proceeds of crime mobilised by Prashant Kumar Dash through Seashore Group of Companies. Other attached immovable assets of the firm include Ac. 4.62 decimal in Angul and a flat in Bhubaneswar. We have also attached `60.57 lakh deposited in various banks in the name of Prashant’s brother, wife, and mother,” they added.
“We had attached the firm’s properties worth `239 crore and bank balance of `3.25 crore, which Prashant and his brother had acquired by duping gullible investors,” the officials added.
