Every girl wants to look beautiful. Yet, while some of them are gifted with natural beauty, for others the search for beauty often remains elusive. With proper care of the skin, physique and adapting to a balanced diet, one can acquire beauty. Winner of many beauty pageants such as Miss Balasore in 2012, Miss Perfect in 2012, Miss Photogenic India in 2013, gorgeous diva Kalpasa Ankita Shaw says beauty comes from within.

The Balasore girl is well known in the glamour fraternity for her outstanding beauty, but she is also known for her social work. She says she is emotionally attached to orphans and needy children and works for their welfare. The lasso was also in the news lately after her portrait found a place at the Australian Art Gallery in March this year. Another attractive feather was added on Kalpasa’s hat recently when she was selected as the brand ambassador of a renowned beauty product company. In a tête-à-tête with Orissa POST the beauty queen reveals her beauty secrets.

• Happiness and peace: I am a happy girl. I am at peace with myself and I am happy always that makes me naturally beautiful. Happiness is the best makeup.
• It’s important to be healthy. Of course I have always enjoyed my food and never been one for strict diets.
• I believe in being confident and dressing in something that truly shows who I am. That is my little secret.
• Hydrate your skin. The best beauty advice I would pass on is always drink a lot of water.
• Highlight your favourite features.
• Use quality skin care products.
• Most importantly, enjoy what you do and do what you enjoy.
• Instead of looking beautiful focus on becoming beautiful.
• Inner beauty is most important. Real beauty is on the inside which is more important than one’s outward appearance.
