Ex-ZP member talked to Itishree 1572 hrs in 3 yrs

Rayagada, June 13: In a significant development in the Tikiri shikhya sahayika Itishree Pradhan immolation case, the CBI Saturday quizzed a former zilla parishad member Binod Nayak.
A DSP level officer of the agency, M K Pathak is learnt to have
interrogated Nayak for around five hours at the camp office of the agency.
A CBI officials associated with the investigations, informed that Nayak had held telephone conversation with Itishree for 1572 hours between June, 2011 and October, 2013.
Officials said that Nayak began telephonic conversation with Itishree on her mobile after she joined as shikhya sahayika June 17, 2011. Since then, Nayak had been regularly holding talks with her on phone till her death.
Even, on the day on when she was murdered, Nayak had talked to her thrice.  CBI learnt this after examining Itishree’s call details.
The agency is now trying to find out the reason behind a political leader like Nayak had been holding regular talks with her. It is also finding out the relationship he had with Itishree.
Nayak however, denied having had any relationship with Itishree skipping media queries over telephonic conversation with Itishree.
Meanwhile, the agency sources said they will interrogate two media persons Sunday.
