Malkangiri: BSF jawans deployed at MV-72 village here seized a huge cache of explosives hidden inside a small cave by the Maoists during a combing operation Monday.
The material was recovered from Bejangibada forest near Chintakonda village. The opening of the cave was found covered with palm leaves, said the jawans of 112 battalion.
The seizure list included an AK 47 magazine, a pistol, a grenade, four bundles of cable, safety fuse, gelatin sticks and electric detonators.
The items were kept by the ultras to attack the security forces, sources said.
