Cuttack: Police busted a factory that adulterated cement and arrested its owner at Jagatpur industrial area here Saturday night. The owner was Lalit Jain of Laxmisagar in Bhubaneswar. “Raasi Gold cement was being adulterated in the factory. This illegal activity had been going on for the last 10 years,” police said.
Acting on the tip off, the Jagatpur police carried out the raid and seized the warehouse of the factory. Some 7,546 packets of cement, 2,300 empty packets, samples of several bands and machinery were seized. The police are interrogating Lalit and raids at several places were going on Sunday, police said.
