Bhubaneswar: The Khandagiri police Monday busted a fake foreign currency racket in a hotel at Khandagiri here and arrested four non-Odias in this connection.

Fake currencies, belonging to different countries, were recovered from the arrested persons.

Among them, three hail from Karnataka while another person is a native of Gujarat. They have been forwarded to court Monday.

“These persons are involved in fraud cases to the tune of Rs 15 lakh. They used to lure people on the promise of giving them hefty returns by investing money in the share market,” a police officer said.
