Hinjilicut: A farmer was suspected to have died due to sunstroke in Hinjilicut area of Ganjam district.
The farmer has been identified as Upendra Mohanty (62) of Kanjiama village.
According to reports, Upendra had gone to his farmland near the village early morning. He collapsed while working in the land at 9.30 am.
One of his relatives Surendra, who was working in an adjacent field, found Upendra lying unconscious. Immediately, Upendra had been rushed to a hospital here but the doctors declared him brought dead.
Shankar Mohanty, brother of the deceased, registered a complaint with the police station, alleging that his brother died of sunstroke.
Police sent the body for post-mortem and started an investigation.
