Bhubaneswar: Seven teams of the Fire Services department along with its special striking force will be on high alert Wednesday on the occasion of Diwali celebrations, especially between 8 pm and 10 pm.
According to sources, around 60 personnel of the three fire stations in the city with vehicles like fire tenders have been asked to remain prepared to check any eventuality.
Several teams of the Commissionerate Police and fire services officials have been carrying out joint inspections at cracker shops in various areas of the city. However, no stall has been found flouting the norms.
Notably, around 250 stalls have been opened at various places across the city.
