Bhubaneswar: The death of a woman patient at a private hospital Wednesday night is seen as the first case of suspected dengue death of the season in the city. The victim was Pratima Das, a resident of Chandrasekharpur area. She was undergoing treatment at a private hospital since last three days.
Family members got her and another relative admitted to the private hospital. While the condition of the other patient was stable, the deceased woman died of fever with symptoms associated with dengue, sources said
The Odisha government is yet to confirm the death as due to dengue officially.
