Five fake examinees held

Rourkela: Police Sunday arrested five persons for allegedly impersonating as examinees while attending a competitive examination of the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) at different centers here.

While four persons were held from Guru Nanak Public School by the Sector-15 police, one was arrested by the Plant site police from Delhi Public School.

All the arrested have been identified as residents of Bihar.

Sources said when the five were undergoing identification process at their respective examination centers for constable post in CISF Fire Department, their identification cards and biometrics did not match and the faces of the accused and the original candidates were also different.

Subsequently, the invigilators informed the police, who rushed to the centres, and arrested them.

Meanwhile, a case under Sections 419 and 420 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) has been registered in connection with the incident.

A Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) rank officer along with CISF officials have also initiated a probe to find out whether dummy candidates are there in other centres as well.
