Flesh trade racket busted in city, two held

Bhubaneswar: A sex racket running under the garb of a physiotherapy center was busted by Commissionerate Police late Sunday night at the Cuttack road area under Laxmisagar police station limits here. The cops rescued four women and arrested two people from the spot.

The accused persons were identified as Sudhanshu Mania of Koraput who was staying near Hitech Plaza apartment in Sundarpada area on the outskirts of the city and Girija Prasad Senapati of Chakeisiani area under the Mancheswar Police station limits here. The accused persons used to allegedly assist the main accused who succeeded in giving police a slip.

Acting on a tip-off, the cops who carried out a raid at a house found the rescued women in compromising position with the accused persons. Police immediately arrested the persons from the scene. Police also came to know that the house where the racket was going on was a rented house. The women were rushed to the Capital Hospital for medical examination. The women were sent to short stay home after medical examination.

During the course of investigations, police also found that out of the four victims, three were from West Bengal while one belongs to Bihar.
