Kataka: Food safety officials inspected hotels, restaurants, sweet shops and fast-food outlets in Banki Thursday as part of their ongoing drive to check compliance with food safety regulations.
The inspection was carried out by the district Food Safety Officer in coordination with the Executive Officer of Banki NAC. The team visited several shops and checked whether they were adhering to prescribed food safety standards.
During the operation, some sweet shop owners reportedly shut their outlets and left after noticing the inspection team.

The inspections in Banki are part of a broader food safety enforcement drive in Bhubaneswar and Kataka ahead of the festive season.
Worth mentioning, the inspection team yesterday sealed a Wow! Momo warehouse at Bhanpur Sadar area for allegedly violating food safety norms.
