Former CBI director Ranjit Sinha breathes his last

New Delhi: Former Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) director Ranjit Sinha passed away in Delhi Friday morning, various news agencies reported. He was 68. Ranjit Sinha was a retired officer of the 1974 batch of the Indian Police Service (IPS) and had during his lifetime held several senior posts including that of the CBI director and the Director General (DG) of the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP).

Sources said that the former CBI director was not keeping well for the last few days and was undergoing treatment at home. Family sources that Sinha had tested positive for coronavirus a few days back and was undergoing treatment at a hospital.
