Kolkata: The legendary Sachin Tendulkar and another former captain Sourav Ganguly led the applause as left-arm spinner Kuldeep Yadav drew all-round praise for his match-winning hat-trick against Australia in the second ODI here Thursday. Meanwhile Harbhajan Singh who has a Test hat-trick to his credit pointed out that Kuldeep and Yuzvendra Chahal’s performances in the ongoing ODI series would make it difficult for the likes of Ravi Ashwin and Ravi Jadeja to find a place in the squad.

Harbhajan Singh: Wahi opposition, wahi lamha, wahi ground aur ek spinner jiska age bhi utna (The same opposition, same ground, another spinner of same age). Somehow as I was watching Kuldeep bowl, my mind travelled back to that afternoon (2001 March) at the Eden Gardens. It is a great achievement by Kuldeep.
