Four child labourers rescued from Sukinda

Sukinda:  Sukinda police in Jajpur district Monday rescued four child labourers from various places under its jurisdiction.

While one of them was engaged in a motorcycle garage, the remaining three were engaged in a brick kiln located near Haripur College. These kids were serving as bonded labourers, said a source.

The rescued minors have been handed over to Child Welfare Committee (CWC), a police official said.

According to Sukinda police, acting on a tip-off, a special team led by Sukinda IIC Bichitrananda Sethi conducted raids at several places and rescued the minors. While two of the brick kiln workers are from Dhenkanal district, another one belongs to Kaliapani area here.
