Puri: In a tragic incident, a four-year-old boy died after falling into a pothole near Baliapanda square in this district Tuesday evening.
The deceased was identified as Tofan Parida.
According to reports, a huge pothole, which was formed near the square, was filled with rainwater.
When Parida fell in the pothole, passers-by rushed him to a local hospital. However, the boy died while undergoing treatment. The residents and family members demanded adequate compensation for the bereaved family.
The police have started an investigation.
