Chhatrapur: An unidentified woman’s body, dressed in a military uniform, was found floating near the Rushikulya river mouth in Odisha’s Ganjam district, sources said Wednesday.
The identity of the deceased has not yet been established.
The woman’s body was found in front of the Gangadevi temple in Purunabandha village under Ganjam police station limits.
Local fishermen alerted police, following which Ganjam police and Fire Services personnel reached the spot and recovered the body. A scientific team visited the spot to collect evidence.
Officials said further investigation will determine whether the woman died by suicide or was murdered.
