Dhenkanal: A 19-year old girl committed suicide by hanging after she failed to get admission to Plus III due to lack of money at Borapada under Sadar police limits Sunday.
Gobindpur outpost police seized the body of Bipasha Sampoi, daughter of late Pintu Sampoi, and a suicide note. The body was sent for post-mortem and a case was registered. The girl after passing Plus II and CT course was interested to take admission in Plus III.
She had applied in IGNOU and received intimation but lack of money came in her way of admission. Her mother had deserted her after the death of her father in 2007.
Bipasha was since then under the care of her aunt. She took the extreme step when her aunt had gone out to arrange money for her admission.
