Bhadrak: A Class-X girl student was allegedly kidnapped Tuesday, but she was found unconscious on the bank of Salanadi river under Agarpada police limits in Bhadrak Wednesday.
Initially, her condition was stated to be critical and admitted to the district headquarters hospital.
A two-member medical team was engaged for her treatment. Meanwhile, police have recorded her statement.
In her statement, the student said that some youths of the locality had been harassing her. The issue was taken up at a village meeting where it was settled.
Her family members said that a youth and a minor girl were involved in the kidnap of the girl. After the kidnap, the family of the girl was told over phone that she was kidnapped Tuesday afternoon.
Following a complaint, police registered a case and started an investigation.
By the last report came in, the girl was discharged from the hospital and sent back home.
