Berhampur: A 10-year-old girl, who was critically burnt at her house in Rayagada district, succumbed to her injuries at MKCG Medical College and Hospital here Sunday.
The deceased was identified as Santoshi Sabar, daughter of Goutam Sabar, of Ambabadi village under Putasingh police limits in Rayagada district. Fire from a stove caught her clothes and she suffered 90 per cent burn injuries Saturday.
Family members rushed her to Rayagada district headquarters hospital and later shifted her to MKCG after her condition deteriorated. Doctors at MKCG tried their best to revive her but she finally succumbed.
Baidyanathpur police registered a case and handed over the body to her family after post-mortem.
