Bhubaneswar: Governor Hari Babu Kambhampati Sunday dispatched relief materials from Lok Bhavan for families affected by the recent floods in Bhadrak and Baleshwar districts.
The relief supplies have been provided by the Sri Sathya Sai Trust for Universal Welfare (SSSTFUW).
First Lady of Odisha Jayshree Kambhampati and Commissioner-cum-Secretary to the Governor Rupa Roshan Sahu were also present during the programme.
The assistance has been extended under the trust’s major public welfare initiative, Sri Sathya Sai Divyamritam (SSSDA).
A total of 1,500 dry ration kits have been sent for distribution among flood-affected families.
Each kit contains essential items including rice, dal, edible oil, sugar, wheat flour, salt, flattened rice (chuda) and soap.
The relief materials will be distributed among families in Bhadrak and Baleshwar whose homes and livelihoods have been affected by the recent floods.
Appreciating the trust’s initiative, Kambhampati said timely assistance to flood-affected families helps them recover from the impact of the disaster and return to normal life.
