Bhubaneswar: Odisha Governor Hari Babu Kambhampati Sunday inaugurated the Boeing Sukanya STEM Lab, Aeromodelling Training Centre and AI Lab at Kosala School in Nuakhairapali village in Baragada district, emphasising the need to empower rural girls through education, scientific learning and technological innovation.
Addressing the gathering, the Governor said talent should never be constrained by circumstances, and every girl deserves an opportunity to realise her full potential.
He said the new facilities would nurture curiosity, encourage innovation and help rural students translate their aspirations into achievements in science and technology.
The STEM laboratory will promote practical learning in science and mathematics, while the aeromodelling centre will introduce students to flight, design and engineering.
The AI laboratory will familiarise students with emerging technologies shaping the future, opening avenues in fields such as aviation, robotics and artificial intelligence.
Emphasising the importance of taking modern scientific education beyond urban centres, Kambhampati said such initiatives could bridge the gap between talent and opportunity, particularly in western Odisha.
He urged students, especially girls, to dream big, develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills, and make the best use of the facilities.
