Bhubaneswar: Batting for South Korea steel major Posco for its plant in the state, the state government Monday urged Centre to include certain provisions to supply raw materials to the company as it has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the state government. He said, several industries like Posco have entered into MoUs with the state government with assurance for allocation of mining. These commitments should be honoured under the new dispensation. “Posco was the largest proposed FDI project in the country for which the Centre has made an international commitment. The country will be sending a very wrong signal to the world by completely ignoring these commitments,” state steel and mines minister Prafulla Mallik said. PNN
