Apart from cities and villages, there are many places in the world where people can live. One such place is there in Greece. The government here has made a unique offer to increase the population of this island. Government is giving free houses and Rupees 40 thousand every month to those who want to live in this island.
The name of this island is Antikythera Island, which is famous all over the country for its clean water and rocks. Spread over 20.43 square kilometres (7.89 square miles) currently 24 people living on this island.
According to media reports, the government’s offer has many takers and they apparently applied to live here. You will be surprised to know that there is also a school in this island which was closed due to lack of children, but now it has reopened.
Government here wants professionals in baking, farming, fishing and construction work so they can earn a considerable amount. However, the government will give 500 euros or about Rs 40,000 every month for three consecutive years for the people to get settled there.
To live in this island, one has to accept ertain conditions of the government, which are not so difficult. One who agrees to those conditions will be able to live in this island.
