Green activists collect littered flags in Berhampur

Berhampur: In a noble gesture, the green activists of Sabuja Bahini, a city-based group, cleaned littered flags off the streets and drains in the town Thursday.

During the Independence Day and Republic Day celebrations, people used to fly National flags atop their houses and vehicles. However, after the celebration is over it is a common sight that the flags would be found scattered all over the locality.

Notably, the green activists Thursday morning cleaned the city by picking up the scattered flags. They went around the town from Old Berhampur to Engineering road and collected the flags.

The local residents hailed the efforts of the group led by its president Sibaram Panigrahi and secretary M Dillip.
