Mumbai: In just 7 years, Vicky Kaushal is giving tough competition to already established superstars, thanks to his talent and super acting skills.

Vicky got international recognition from his debut movie ‘Masaan’. But the role of Army officer in Uri and ‘Kamli’ in Sanju took Vicky to the peak of success.

October 16, Vicky will celebrate his 31st birthday. Let us tell you some interesting things related to Vicky.

Apart from acting, Vicky is also a tele-communication engineer and was doing job abroad. Soon, his growing interest in acting led him to quit his job. Then Vicky took admission in ’Kishore Namit Kapoor Acting Institute’ and learned acting.

Vicky had inclination towards acting since childhood. He used to take part in several competitions. It is said that Anurag Kashyap was confused about casting Vicky in Raman Raghav 2.0.

Anurag thought that Vicky would not be able to play a negative role. Vicky somehow influenced Anurag for the audition in and as they say rest is history.

Vicky assisted Anurag Kashyap in both the parts of the ‘Gangs of Wasseypur’ film. In film ‘Masaan’ Vicky’s role was small but was quite impressive.

Notably, Vicky lived in ‘Chawl’ in Mumbai when his father Shyam Kaushal was struggling as action director.

These three films made tremendous collections at the box office. The film ‘Uri’ had a collection of over 200 crores. Even ‘Uri’ broke the record of ‘Bahubali’. According to film critic Taran Adarsh, the film beat the collections of Baahubali’s 23rd and 24th day collection.
