Cuttack: The High Court Tuesday put off hearing in the ongoing lawyers’ agitation over alleged assault of a lawyer by policemen to November 15 as the Crime Branch (CB) sought more time to submit a complete chargesheet. Earlier, the court had deferred the hearing twice citing the same reasons, first November 9 and then November 13. On November 9, the CB had sought six weeks for submission of the chargesheet. However, the court had rejected the plea and directed the CB to submit a full-fledged chargesheet by November 12. Advocate Debi Prasad Patnaik had an argument with policemen in connection with a road mishap at Nuabazar August 28 night following which the cops had allegedly beaten him.
