Bhubaneswar: Heavy rainfall is likely at one or two places in Kendujhar and Mayurbhanj as rain and thunderstorms continue across parts of Odisha, Regional Centre of India Meteorological Department said Tuesday.
The IMD has issued a yellow warning for heavy rainfall in Kendujhar and Mayurbhanj districts.
Thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and gusty surface winds of up to 30-40 kmph are also likely at one or two places in Baleshwar, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapada, Jagatsinghpur, Kataka, Sundaragada, Kendujhar, Mayurbhanj, Gajapati, Ganjam, Puri, Khordha and Nayagada districts.
The weather office has advised residents in the affected areas to remain alert during thunderstorms and heavy rain.
