Khurda: Cracking down a major whip against illegal possession of contraband, a joint team of Khurda police and excise officials conducted simultaneous raid at three different places and seized huge cache of brown sugar and illegal liquor.
Three persons have been held in this connection.
Acting on a tip-off, the cops and excise sleuths raided at Matha Sahi, Baseli Sahi and Hada Chaka in Khurda and seized the contraband from the area.
The raid was conducted after they received specific information of drug peddling in the area.
