In spite of police presence, miscreants for the 3rd time hurl bombs at house in Khurda

Khurda: In spite of the presence of police personnel the house of Hrudananda Swain of Daleiput area under Sadar police limits have come under the attack of miscreants for the third time. Goons have been hurling bombs at his residence on a regular basis. The latest of the bomb attacks came Friday morning.

Sources said that Hrudananda had previous enmity with Kalu Behera over a property. So the latter hired some miscreants to hurl bombs at over Hrudananda’s house that they did August 11. Hrudananda promptly lodged an FIR. Police after investigating the matter found Kalu’s involvement in the bomb attack and arrested him.

Undeterred, Kalu associates once more hurled bombs at Hrudananda’s residence following which police were posted as a protective measure. But that did not prevent the miscreants from attacking Hrudananda’s residence with bombs againt Friday. In spite of the presence of police, they walked close to the house and hurled four bombs before fleeing the spot.

The incident has left the neighbours in a state of panic. They are shocked that goons could still attack the house in the presence of police. They have blamed the police for their lackadaisical attitude. They said, luckily no one got injured.

A fresh probe has been launched by the police after the latest round of attack.
