In this Island, people order pizza from London, get delivery by plane; see video to believe

Residents of the small Caribbean islands Saba and St. Eustatius can now have their pizza cravings satisfied in the most exciting way. Instead of having their slices delivered by a learner on a motorbike, these islanders are having freshly baked cheesy goodness delivered by plane.

Their pizza dreams had been raised and then cruelly dashed after an April Fool’s joke promised a helicopter pizza delivery service. Luckily they didn’t have to wait long for their dreams to realised for real, as Domino’s partnered up with local airline Winair to create the flying pizza delivery service.

Customers can pick one of the regular scheduled flights to the the island and the Domino’s workers will get their pizza baked ready for departure. Unless weather conditions are poor, the whole process only takes half an hour and, according to Mashable, delivery will only set back pizza lovers $2.75.

The slight drawback is that customers have to collect the pizza from the islands’ airline counters. But still – fresh pizza is being delivered by plane and that is awesome. Check out the video to see how the pizza flies off the shelves:
