‘India Post GDS Recruitment 2024 Sarkari Result: 30,000 Post For 10th Pass’

Gramin Dak Sevaks play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of postal services in rural areas. As per the latest updates from various media sources, Applications are going to start soon for the huge recruitment of GDS in the Indian Postal Department (India Post). In such a situation, all the candidates who were eagerly waiting for the recruitment will be able to fill the form from July 2024 through the Sarkari Result official website.

Recently a short notice of India Post GDS Recruitment has been issued, in which all the important dates related to the recruitment have been mentioned. It is expected that the online application process for this recruitment will start from July 15. After which eligible candidates will be able to fill the form through online process.

India Post GDS Recruitment 2024: Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the GDS positions, candidates must meet the following criteria:

Educational Qualification: Applicants must have passed the 10th standard (Secondary School Examination) from a recognized board of education. The educational qualification must be accompanied by passing marks in Mathematics and English.

Local Language Proficiency: Proficiency in the local language of the postal circle is mandatory. Candidates must have studied the local language at least up to the 10th standard.

Computer Knowledge: Basic computer knowledge is required, and candidates should furnish a certificate of at least 60 days of computer training from a recognised institution.

India Post GDS Recruitment 2024: Age limit

The age of the candidates should be between 18 and 40 years. Age relaxation is applicable for candidates belonging to reserved categories as per government norms.

India Post GDS Recruitment 2024: Application fee 

During the application, candidates of General, OBC and EWS category will have to submit an application fee of Rs 100. On the other hand, candidates of Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and PWD category can fill the form in this recruitment without any fee.

India Post GDS Recruitment 2024: Selection process

The selection process for the GDS positions will be based on the merit list generated from the candidates’ academic records. No written examination or interview is required. The key factors influencing the selection process are:

Academic Performance: Marks obtained in the 10th standard will be considered for creating the merit list. Candidates with higher percentages will have better chances of selection.

Reservation Policies: Reservation policies as per government norms will be strictly followed. Separate merit lists will be prepared for different categories, including SC, ST, OBC, EWS, and PWD.

Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates will be called for document verification, where they must produce original documents for verification.

India Post GDS Recruitment 2024: Important dates 

While the exact dates for the application process are yet to be announced, candidates can expect the following timeline:

Release of Official Notification: Expected in July 2024

Start of Online Application: Within a week of the notification release

Last Date for Application Submission: Approximately one month after the start of the application process

Publication of Merit List: Expected by December 2024

The application process for the India Post GDS Recruitment 2024 will be conducted online. Interested candidates are advised to visit the official website of India Post for the detailed instructions and updates. The major steps involved in the application process include:

Registration: Firstly, Candidates must register themselves on the portal by providing basic details and creating a unique registration ID.

Filling the Application Form: After registration, candidates need to fill in the application form with personal, educational, and other relevant details.

Uploading Documents: Scanned copies of required documents, including educational certificates, identity proof, and photographs, must be uploaded as per the specified format.

Payment of Fees: The application fee for General/OBC/EWS male candidates is expected to be nominal, while SC/ST/PWD and female candidates are exempted from paying any fee.

Submission: After completing all the steps, candidates should review their application form and submit it online.
